For Israel and Democracy in the Middle East, FIDIM, was etablished in 2002 in response to biased media reporting on the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The purpose of FIDIM is to provide information about Israel and the Arab-Israeli conflict, to promote a broader discussion and to find possible solutions. Thereby it also counters Anti-Semitism which has developed a close relation with Anti-Zionism during the last few decades.

Therefore, we direct our efforts towards media and politicians by requesting the allocation of space also for the Israeli perspective, which reflects the will of the Israeli majority, no matter which democratically elected government and Prime Minister currently rules.

On our website you find a variety of information, as analysis, features, chronicles, and answers to questions that puzzled you for some time. You also find films, news, links, documents, and other material of interest. Some of our authors are known, others are just knowledgeable.

But we do not judge on the surface, but evaluate the inside. Therefore, we prioritise the content, its intelligent edge, substance and relevance. We do not judge the different and deviating, but value differences.
